Purpose of the Processing
Carambelle, whose head office is located at 14 rue Pierre et Marie Curie, ZA La Haute Limougère, 37230 Fondettes, operates several e-commerce websites (https://www.scrapcooking.fr/, https://www.mirontaine.fr/fr/, and https://www.lepicerieduchef.fr/fr/). These sites allow us to receive customer orders, and the data collected during this process is recorded and processed in a customer database.
This database is used to:
- Manage orders, payments, and deliveries.
- Carry out marketing operations (loyalty programs, promotions) and send marketing emails to customers who have not objected or who have given their consent:
- Regarding products similar to those they have ordered
- Regarding other products offered by the company. For example, if a customer buys a dress, a body cream may be suggested.
- Transfer the data of customers who have consented to our commercial partners, to enable them to send marketing communications (see below).
Legal Basis for Processing
Order management: the legal basis for processing is the performance of a contract (see Article 6.1.b of the European General Data Protection Regulation).
Sending marketing emails about products similar to those ordered: the legal basis is the legitimate interest of the company (see Article 6.1.f of the GDPR), namely to promote our products to our customers.
Sending marketing emails about other Carambelle products: the legal basis is consent (see Article 6.1.a of the GDPR), as required by Article L. 34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code.
Transferring email addresses to commercial partners: the legal basis is consent (see Article 6.1.a of the GDPR), as required by Article L. 34-5 of the French Postal and Electronic Communications Code.
Data Categories
Identity: title, last name, first name, address, delivery address, phone number, email address, date of birth, internal processing code for customer identification, data related to opt-out list registration.
Order data: transaction number, purchase details, purchase amount, invoice payment data (payments, unpaid invoices, discounts), product returns.
Payment data: credit card number, card expiration date, security code (which is immediately deleted).
Data needed for loyalty and marketing actions: purchase history.
Data Recipients
Carambelle’s customer service and billing departments are recipients of all categories of data.
Subcontractors responsible for order delivery receive customer identity, address, and phone number.
Data Retention Period
Data necessary for order and billing management: for the duration of the commercial relationship and ten (10) years to comply with accounting obligations.
Data necessary for loyalty and marketing actions: for the duration of the commercial relationship and three (3) years from the last purchase.
Payment data: this data is not stored by Carambelle; it is collected during the transaction and immediately deleted after payment.
Data concerning opt-out lists: three (3) years.
Your Rights
If you no longer wish to receive marketing communications from Carambelle (exercise of the right to object or withdrawal of previously given consent), please contact us.
